On January 1, 2025, the PITT OHIO Transportation Group acquired Sutton Transport with the intent to merge Sutton into Dohrn to create one company with more customers, more shipments, increased shipment density, and better service.

Thank you for your ongoing support of Dohrn and Sutton Transport!

What have we accomplished to date?

The Dohrn and Sutton Transport operating companies have improved service while becoming more efficient:

Pick-up reliability increased to 99.7%.
On-time linehaul truck departures improved to 97.8%.
Linehaul load factor increased by 13% thereby reducing the need for purchased transportation by 67%.
We have retained +96% of our legacy Sutton employees.
Driver wages have been increased to market rate.

Effective 2/3/2025 we’re combining our terminal operations in the Cape Girardeau, MO service area. Sutton will no longer operate a separate terminal in Cape Girardeau. Sutton customers can continue to rely on the same pickup and delivery drivers and transit service in this area.

Seamless Visibility

Dohrn and Sutton have connected data via EDI, providing customers of both carriers with real-time shipment visibility no matter which carrier is picking up or delivering the shipment.

No Changes to How You Communicate

Legacy Sutton customers should continue working with Sutton as usual.
Dohrn customers should continue working with Dohrn as usual.
The Dohrn and Sutton Sales teams have been integrated. Today all Dohrn and Sutton customers have one sales point of contact for both operating companies.
